Cutaneous Innervation

The nerves supplying the upper limb originate mostly from the bracial plexus, a bundle of nerves from the C5-T1 region on the anterior rami of the spinal cord. The cutaneous innervation of the shoulder is supplied by nerves of the cervical plexus, ranging from C1-C4. Some nerves, for example intercostobrachial nerve, extend to T2 root value.

This section contains information about cutaneous nerves that supply the upper limb. Overall nerve information can be found on the Cutaneous Nerves page. The specific nervous distribution of nerves can be found in the Arm, Forearm and Hand sections. Click the buttons below to be directed to the page.
